Those Lazy Eye Controllers....

Recommended Posts

those pivot lazy eye controllers, im curious on how they work? (if anyones got one)

does the little dial control resistance to the motor on the headlamp and stop it half way etc...?

possibly does anyone have a scan of the instalation diagram?

i had one of these installed on my last car and it basically cuts out the power slightly earlier when the lights are going back down. you can adjust the height. however, it only works when you turn the lights off and the lights are going back down. it wont work if you turn the lights on as they will go up fully.

I have seen them running when you have your lights on.

just turn them on fully, turn them off, and when they're on the way down put the switch to 1st or 2nd mode, and they'll stick there :)

thats because people have wired up their normal lights to come on full when only sidelights are selected

They cut the motor power after a time set by the dial.

Looking for one of those?

the kit is just a few wires and a switch, look in the know my 2 section on mr2 owners club, they have the instructions there, jaxx the proper unit works on a timer, it supplies a current for a certain amount of time depending on where you set dial, just a big egg timer basically
