Wiper Blades Park In Wrong Position

the wipers stopped working on my carina, i had a look and the nut that holds the linkage to the motor had come off, so i put the blades in right position and put it back on. now the blades stop to high. they wipe the screen ok but after they go down instead of stopping they come back up a bit

Loosen the nut again,close the bonnet,lift the wipers up clear of the screen and operate the wipers.

wiper motor should turn but the wiper arms should stay still.

Switch wipers off and allow motor to "park".

Tighten the nut on the wiper arm link.
