Yaris Modifying

I've got a Yaris 1.0 and I want to fit a decent silencer to it. Does anyone have any recomendations?

I'd also like to fit a body kit to it but the only one I can find that looks half decent is the carzone kit. Does anyone know of any other nice kits and accessories available and where to get them?

Not sure I'm with you there, the 1.0l yaris is a quiet car why would you want to make it any quieter or am i thinking along the wrong lines....

try this site www.booster-tuning.com thay have a body kit for the 1 litre yaris which is quite nice plus they have other bits and pieces as well.Toyota themselves have a bodykit for it but pricey.Hope this helps you out a bit

Sorry, I meant a rear exhaust (back box). I don't want the whole exhaust system, (I thought they were called silencers). I don't really know that much about cars but my mate said changing this would make my car look and sound better. He suggested a peco 4? Don't think you can get these for a Yaris.

Changing the back box of a car will help it breathe better if done correctly, too large and you lose a lot of back pressure which is needed by a NA (Normilly Aspirated) engine, to small and you restrict the way in which the enigne breathes.

Your friend is right a new back box would help the car, on a small 1.0l it would not really add much in the way of bhp but would make the engine a lot more repsonsive, link that to a decent induction kit and you'll notice a difference in sound, and in the way the car drives, it will feel a lot better...

A few of the other members have already done this to their yaris's have alook around the forum and you'll find some posts, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

not sure but I think TTE (Toyota team Europe) do some kit for the Yaris which you can buy and have fitted by your local Toyota Dealer.

ive got the tte big bore on my yaris. its great, id recommend it. not too noisey but you can hear the difference.

How much is the tte yaris 1.0 backbox and what gains could u expect except better breathing. And what exactly does better breathing mean. Also will it effect toyota warranty?

if you get a toyota backbox and let toyota fit it you dont loose your warranty. thats what i did with mine. and better breathing on a car is how easily it can take in cold air and get rid of exhaust air..
