I'm not sure if I'm certain of what I saw, so thought I'd check in here...

Was driving around Derby on Sunday 26th, and could swear i saw what looked like an Mk2 MR2... But it was a full-on convertable!

Was it just too early in the morning for me, or do these things exist?

ala MR2 Spyder

thats beautiful. yes, ive seen one before, they are very rare from the factory.

lately, in the kit car mags, ive seen an advertisement for a company called veranti or something.

they rebody mk2 mr2s (kind of like the 355 jobbie) except it is an origional design, and its a convertable

There is a "canvas" roof. But they leak badly.

It was said that's the reason why there isn't a Toyota Badge on the car, they wouldn't put their name to a car that leaked.

now if only it had a 6 second steel folding roof... then with a turbo inside it, that would be awsome!

I think its about time Rogue designed something else...

I see two of these quite frequently as two of them are based in Northampton. One of them (Reg - J5 TRD) has been in the same family since new. The current owner (one of the son's) doesn't spend much time on any of the forums for some reason - prolly has better things to do with his time :P

He is often spotted at the MK cruise though...

Best go take my toyota badges off then!

Have you tried the silicone trick yet?

Nicola's T-bar used to leak but she didn't want to use silicone (for some bizzarre reason) so she opted to build up the leaky channels with black PVC tape and that worked a treat :)

Nah G i havent got around to it yet - i managed to stick some papaer towel in the edge of the t-bar last night and that lasted for about ten minutes before i got soaked again! :(

Will have to do it next week - as were at envy this weekend :)

The Silicone thing is not difficult at all.

Get black silicone from B&Q or other DIY type place (Halfords is too expensive). Get some cling film. Remove T-Bars. Apply silicone in adequate amount to leaky areas. Cover with cling film. Replace t-bars. Clean any silicone spillage off unwanted areas. Leave for a day or two. Remove T-bars. Remove cling film. Replace T-bars. Job done

Not that I needed to tell you this - I'm sure Rob has been down this route with his MKII?
