Newbie Needs Help

Firstly I'd just like to say big hello to everyone on the forum. I got my gen 7 celica ss2 on Saturday and spent all weekend on it.

I needed to removed the doubledin head unit that was in but I was a bit apprehensive, after about 45mins searching the TOC forums I found instructions on how to do, cant remember who wrote the post but thanks it was really helpful .

I managed to get the head unit out, it was less painful than I thought :) Problem is I now need an adapter to fit my single din head unit I got one from Halfords but it didnt fit, the muppet there gave me one that was only good for celicas upto '97 Ive got a different one on order form Halfords hope it fits. The one thing I really need is the wiring adapter/block again I got one from Halfords (£13- what a !Removed!!) but it doesnt fit, so does anyone know which type I need and where to get it?

get in touch with CEL Direct, or MCS Direct. Either should be able to sort you out with both items (got mine from CEL).

Bass Junkies seem to be pretty good too!

Oh, and be prepared to do a bit of butchering of your Stereo mounting brackets. If you get a facia that puts the stereo in the middle of the plate, then you will have to drill some more holes in the brackets to screw your stereo in securely.

Just take your time over it, and get someone else to help - just to check your logic before you start popping holes in them, turning them in to culendars!
