a tuurbo company in sheffield reckon they can do it for around 1500 notes, all custom kit. reckons he can push 210 bhp (but that would be tooooo much for me as i would wreck it :) ) a lad i know is sending his TS there in a few weeks for the guy too look at. i'll keep you posted.

Yaris WRC could never get the fuelling right as far as I remember and I think he had issues with the belts too

Far as I know hes sold it to Dan (TPot) and hes had issues too? Not sure about the last part - ask Chuck04

I beg to differ clarky, my mate has a Glanza V and it looks fantastic, its rapid aswell. He took me a run the other nite and its got 160bhp and wheelspin in 3rd! :D

Ok - some maybe nice - I'm just not a fan.

And as for performance - they are seriously rapid - agreed!

i have a HKS job fitted but its for the 1L, if the fit is anything like mine it`s a dream to fit, top quality and a good power boost from it, i can`t see any probloms with the ECU as it tuned for all TS yaris, because all TS are jap built so there should be no probs

Looked into all of this before -through TDI - they reckon youre talkin a lot fo remapping time for the ecu because the standard turbo is designed for the japspec ecu - not the uk one

but why clarky they are the same and if there is a small differance in the ECU settings just get a jap spec ECU and TA DA, only differance maybe due to the fact that it may be tuned to 98ron petrol like mine but thats easy to fix just put in 98ron put apart from that i don`t know what possible it could be they should be the same

Yeah - that was pretty much my argument too originally.

But apparently they are very different - looking back at old emails TDI were talking about big money for the remapping and were using an HKS FCON to acheive it...

My next approach was well'I'll just get a jap spec ecu then' - again not so easy ..

Camshaft you ever tried looking for a Jap ECU? I've been looking for a member on here (who shall remain unnamed), and i've really struggled. Re-mapping is better for european Yarii IMO

U would think it would be just a case of getting the part number and ordering wouldnt u?

The other option that had crossed my mind was just importing a Vitz RS and going from there .. again not so cheap

i found a 1.0L vitz and checked the ecu part number and it was the same as my jap built yaris so it was the same so i just left it in and fitted the FCON to it and ive had no probs at all.

clarky ill get the part number off a vitz rs and check out the part numbers if ya like to see if there is any differance if ya like

Yep, you can kiss the con-rods bye bye with that setup. With the offset crank design and the weak internals the 1NZ-FE can safely handle enough boost for about 150bhp, and that's why all the turbo and charger kits come in right around that mark.

All of them are capable of pushing it well beyond that, but grenading the bottom end doing a 3rd gear pull isn't most customer's definition of a fun afternoon. A built motor could handle a lot more, but you're looking at the expensive end of the scale when you start throwing custom internals at a project.

youd' be right lourne, i read that too. i was just wondering think a whole kit would come to £2k and with ecu fixes, probably fit it myslef.

GReddy do a turbo kit and the do Emanage to suit the fuelling

ive fitted that to my mr2 and i noticed thw wiring configuration for the 1NZFE in the back

;)

there ya go, no complaining, turbo your cars

PS the yaris has a knock sensor, only turbo cars need knock sensors, so why has your NA got one

Toyota WANTED you to turbo your car ;)

thing is with just buying a jap ecu is its same price as a uk one 500 notes and i cant find the part number anywhere

thr HKS turbo kit is a roller bearing turbo sposedly better than the greddy kit, but both well maintained should last a fair whle,

rob so the e manage is quite straightforward then?

dans charger was nicks old one, dont know wat nick did with the HKS kit he bought but id be swayed to the greddy one anyway as the emanage is sposed to be a gud bit of kit and its a cheaper kit than the HKS
