its already being tested on a few places around the UK.

I think Cambridge Uni has a system, and the Brighton to London trains have wifi in the carridges that links to WiMax to give web access..

Have a look at the BT website for info. Loads of pubs, hotels, and even McDonalds have them for the busy, road-going sales people! :D

Were not talking about WiFi, since after about 50metres its practically useless.. and the chances of having a phone/network point within that region are minute..
