Is Everyone Ok

With the news of the bombings in London, I am hoping and concerned that everyone here is OK and good to go!

My thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives and their families.

The thoughts and prayers of www.echofans.org membership echo the same.

I agree. Hope everybody down in London is fine and well.

I definetely think this was a planned attack, to time with London's winning of the Olympics.

Sad to hear that scum like people who carried out these attacks are living.

My thoughts go out to those who are affected by todays attacks.

Yes indeed. A terrible tragic day but we're not going to let these monsters defeat us with their cowardly tactics.

Just been checking on my London based mates via email. All seem OK, thank God. Hope everyone on here is fine too.

And thanks for the consideration, Mongo. See you later on Echofans.

I'm in Essex, only 24 miles from London - everyone here is very shocked and subdued. Even the road noise seems less than normal tonight here.

Hope all the Londoners are okay.

Knightsbridge? Ohh, posh!

Seriously though... Thoughts are with those directly affected by the incident and I'm glad you're all well.

I'm just really pleased my sister was at her normal desk in Woking and not at the company's City office. She was meant to be going into London tonight for the JP Morgan Chase charity run in Battersea Park

Take care

Do you think the Al-Qaeda thought "oh darn they won the olympics, lets bomb them!". Doubt it.

Its to do with the G8 Summit in Scotland!

My thoughts are with all effected by this tradegy aswell, its a sad, sad day. :(

But there's also the added bonus (for them) of "we can do this any time, maybe in 2012".

That's how terrorism works, isn't it?

Fortunately, the British people's resolve is stronger than that.

Good to see everyone doing their best to get back to normal this morning ... as for those idiots making a mess of the G8 summit - what a bunch of lowlifes ...

thats the obvious reason..but what i meant was - it was only the day after they had won the olympics, the whole of london would be on a high, and not expecting anything on the scale of what happened. if they wanted to directly affect the G8, they would be blowing up "landmarks" in edinburgh, you know how Al-Qaeda works, they dont give a toss about anybody, so why attack the opposite end of the country if they want to affect the G8 summit?

It's got nothing to do with either in my opinion.

Okay, so it could have been planned to conincide with the G8, but this sort of thing would have taken a long time to plan. Al-Qaeda apparently spent 3 yrs planning september 11th, so it could have taken just as long for the London Bombings.

We only found out about the olympics the day before, so I don't think it would be anything to do with them.

It all stems back to Madrid. After the Madrid attacks, Britain was warned in a message from Al-Qaeda, that if we didn't pull troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, then we were the next target.

After yesterday's bombings, the message next warned Denmark and Italy....

Security was very tight at the G8, so they wouldn't get close to doing anything up north. London was scarce of security, full of people, etc.

It just would have coincided with the G8 to show the most powerful of the world's leaders; who were in the same place, the destruction they could cause.

A sickening thing to happen, and again, thoughts out to those involved.

It would cause alot more damage and deaths in London. London has a bigger population than the whole of Scotland, thats why!
