Hey people, i will hopefully be the proud owner of a yaris within the next couple of weeks, i have to sell my escort first then im buying my mums yaris 1.0 cdx with full toyota sports kit :D

I have been reading into the tuning/styling about this engine and car and i am very impressed with what ive found on the market and some of your yaris' on here are to die for!

The first thing i wish to do to my yaris is a set of alloys, but im a bit uncertain about sizes etc. I was thinking 17s but now im leaning more towards 16s. also if someone could tell me the correct offset for the yaris i would be gratefull

Thanks for your help,

Rob :)

Don't know off the top of my head, but if ya do a search in the forum for "offset," you should find a thread which tells ya. ;)

Welcome to the boards by the way, and have fun, and drive safe.

welcome to the club

16s would be best bet in long run, gen no issues when it comes to lowering and wont hinder performance as much as 17s

Hey! welcome to the club

Where in north wales are you?

16's would be better for performance, 17's look better, and 16's won't cause problems when you lower your car.

Does anyone know if I put 17's on my car will is still rub even if I have my arched rolled, or are they done to suit your wheels.

Welcome to TOC.

45 is defo pushing it and youll knaker the wheel bearings in no time at all

42 is not advisable

38 is spot on

Dont worry u aint missed anything, its gota be the most boring town around lol

Well it is a bit quiet around there but a lovely coastline. I recently got paid £100 for an hour's work on three occasions to go to Llandudno. Made it even more attractive!

I'm originally from Queensferry and have a caravan near Bala. Spent many a happy hol as a kid along that coast. :)

Welcome matey or should I say?.... Croeso!

Diolch! :P yeah i suppose for scenery there is no place i would rather go, can either go look at coastline of huge mountain ranges which are amazing  ! then again i always miss home when im away!

Right for the wheels, i have been advised not to go for 16's as when it comes to tyres they are the most expensive size apparently. I get my tyres at a good price because i work in a main dealership garage (vauxhall :!Removed!: ) but i havent found out the prices for myself yet!

i have found some rims i have fallen in love with, the only problem though is they only come in 17" upward :( do i risk the 17" route???

Same here, I've found some wheels I like and they only come in 17's and i've got my car lowered 35mm in the front and 38mm in the rear and I hope they don't affect it.

What wheels are they mate?

the wheels I want are in the topic 'hopefully my new project' they're axis reverbs, black with chrome lip

So anyone reading this should I have a great deal of trouble already being low with 17's.

the wheels i have seen are kei rss 17". they are 5spoke in gunmetal grey with a silver lip (http://www.motor-world.co.uk/kroozin/show_prod.php?prod_id=8883&PHPSESSID=3dc8b87712c4d26fdb58f24c4303471c)

i think they would look lovely on a silver yaris! :D

Just read your thread about the wheels too mate... you have saved me asking more questions lol
