Ok.. My Roadster needs its 1st wash.. whats the best stuff to use on the hood?

any advice appreciated.

I once new someone who polished his hood with boot polish...

I wouldn't recommend that though!!!

On the 5 I use one of 2 products, Renovo (little brown bottle) which just sponges straight on, brings the roof back to a nice black and gives a superb finish and Autoglym have a spray (can't remember the name (think the label is green) which you just spray on and wipe over, both give a good finish after you've cleaned the car properly.

Suprisingly the Autoglym rubber and vinyl care is the best stuff. Its because the hood material isn't the norm!

if you were to look in the car care centre - there is a link to it on the top of every page ( :whistles: ) - you would see the article all about caring for convertable tops :D

I use Autosmart Vynyl Dressing.

Put it on like it's going out of fashion, then wipe it off with a clean cloth.

I'll bring some to JAE. :thumbsup:
