it may need regassing, or you may just be freezing it up by putting it on too cold too quickly.

Hi

Mine was doing the same so i took it to the main dealer and they ran a test on it where they filled it with a gas that shows up under UV light and they reckon it has got a very small leak on it, that cost me £80  just for the test.

Got to take it back saturday where they will try and find the leak and to fill it thats going to cost me another £50 :censor: and then it might need parts if anytng has gone on it..

On the way home though it was blowing cold air so it must have done something, hope they fix it because i don't know what i've been missing.

Hope that helps. :D

Personally, I like to have the choice!!!

I'm not one of these people who has it on all the time and will happily open the windows when I'm out for a country drive - but cruising around town and on motorways - it's a god-send and I'd never do without now!! :D

Booked it in with my local Toymota for next wednesday at 8.30 am :crybaby: , reckons it could be the pollen filter or it could need re-gasing.

I like to have th option, but the only thing that annoys me is, its eats the :censor: petrol like its going out of fasion

My aircon is always 95% on even in winter...its better to keep it used...travelling through france and spain in 30deg+ sheer bliss...keeps condensation away also. :)

Hello kirst

I just had my air con fixed, it cost me RM600.

first I had to check why, there was no cooling at all, found out there was a small leak on the cooling coil. Was told to seal the hole and service it, cost RM100. Then the next day same problem, went to workshop and was told to change the cooling coil(evaporator), the expansion valve, the dryer(filter) and regas, it cost me RM500.

The advice from the mechanic was to change the expansion valve and the dryer every 9months, while doing that, the evaporator needs to be serviced also.

Luckily the compressor was still ok, if not that will cost another RM700.

So change the vale and dryer every 9month and do a service.

OK take care bye.

:o.)

It's great in this weather,. I use the aircon even with the roof off as it keeps you nice and cool when even the breeze is warm, just a comfort thng really....
