Can you tell me when it'd be a good time to replace the timing belt on a 2000 Avensis 1.6? It has 36k on the clock.

T belt is due at 60,000 miles or 5 years whichever comes first!

If it's a ZZ engine it's got a timing chain not the belt on the outside. Can't remember exactly what the recommended change interval is but should be longer than 60,000 miles
