Mr2 Turbo

My mr2 turbo is loosing power somewhere and i dont know where. When its in idle the revs drop to 750 rpm rather than 1000 rpm. When i accelarate it doesnt have the power it once had. Could it be spark plugs, Battery, alternator or even the engine? Ive just had a new turbo fitted along with a new gear box, so has anybody got any ideas what it might be?

I'd be tempted to replace your ignition components. Spark plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm and HT leads.

Agreed, sounds very similar to what a mate's tubby was doing, a dizzy cap rotor arm and new plugs solved the problem.
