Tyre Queries

new front tyres needed on my corolla.i still hav the standard wheels on which are 195x55x15.

would i be able to use 195x50x15 tyres?

i cant see anything being affected except maybe the ride quality but thought i should check it out first.

yes you could...but

your odometer will display MORE miles than you have actually done...thus devaluing your car.

however you will get better accelleration but less top end.

also...dont quote me on this but your rev counter will also display the incorrect amount of revs...

Correct it will throw the mileometer out but the rev counter works off electrical pulse of engine (so to speak) and thus will not in any way be affected.

you wont pick up speed as quick though!

theres no real price difference between the two and you can pick up a set of two Goodyears for example for 40 quid inc delivery!
