Celica Auto Gear Box

Hi,

I have recently bought a 1995 celica auto and cannot work out what the red botton on the gearbox is for. It has some japanese writing next to it.

That will be the "Ejector Seat" button

Seriously though - I assume its for moving the gear-shift lever when the engine is switched off.

I had the same trouble when I bought my 1996 Cynos COnvertible and it is indeed for moving your gearshift when the engine is off as Mick said.

Was told it is for the just incase your Battery fails and you need to move the car
