Redline TOTB IV - Sunday July 31ST 2005

Put the date in your diaries, as Redline Ten of the Best IV will take place on Sunday 31st July 2005, at Elvington airfield, nr York.

Will 3-time champion Rocket Ronnie finally be beaten, and will the Skyline GTR Register have the team award prised away from them after 3 years of victory?

One thing is certain, competition will be fiercer than ever!

A blinding day last year at TOTB3, now here in 2005 its time for TOTB4!

Staged at Elvington Airfield near York and we'll be once again descending on the Grey Horse Inn for some tea! We'll also be possibly making it for breakfast depending on numbers as the pub requires at least a decent gathering to open.

meeting times

meeting at 8am, at your favoured area ie FBS

arriving for breakfast for 8:30am as long as we have say 8-10 people as the pub will most likely open for that amount....

arriving then at the airfield for 9:30

full day watching the event (bring some lunch or money for the food stalls)

6:00pm return to the pub for tea!

so get your names down :D

What is TOTB

Ten of the Best (TOTB) is a performance road car event, aimed at finding the best allround car in Europe. Handling, top speed and the 1/4m drag strip are used to determine the outcome.

All the cars that compete are road legal, taxed, tested and insured. Many of the cars are modified, some to the extreme. Many of the entrants have built and modified their own vehicles, while others represent the cream of the crop from the Tuners and Garages that specialise in the type of cars we see competing.

Points are awarded in each of the three events overall, making it extremely difficult to score points in all events unless the car and driver are on top form on the day!

Individual classes are also used to determine class trophies, for FWD (front wheel drive), RWD (rear wheel drive) and 4WD (four wheel drive).

The teams who take part are also battling it out for the TOTB team Trophy, a highly contested piece of silverware.

Ten of the Best brings together modern high tech/high spec cars along with high power retro classics, giving all a chance to show their prowess on the day. Entrants come from most of the UK and European car clubs and groups, along with individual entries and invited Tuner cars.
