Squealing Brakes / Steering Lock

Had new discs and pads fitted on front of 2001 avensis. Been squealing since installation under breaking sub 20 miles an hour....

left them for a while as thought were bedding in but now done 400 miles and still doing it....

trip back to Mr T but what sortta issue might it be.

Also my steering lock doesn't lock steering wheel - any ideas.... don't want to replace if it requires new keys all round...

I thought my steering lock didn't work until I tried to turn it halfway round (normally wouldn't turn wheel that far when stationary as it's not good for the tyres) and it gave a satisfying click and locked, sorry don't know about brakes. J

I've also got the brake squeeling problem after my brakes were replaced & discs skimmed.

I've done about 1000 miles and the squeeling has got much better - I'm sure pads are just bedding in. Taking it to me dealer to check it out.
