Toyota MR2 GTi-16 1992 UK Car in Black

This car is standard 1992(J) UK spec not an import.

I have owned this car since june and have enjoyed every minute of it. However it is now time to move on, hence here it is for sale.

A Brief overview;

2dr 2 seater sports coupe, Mid-engine rear wheel drive, 2.0ltr 16v 4cly fuel injection engine with 5sp manual gear box, Frameless doors & tilt sunroof that removes completely and stores under the bonnet. Handles superbly through the bends and out on the open road but equally at home in town or on the motorway – thanks largely to the flexibility of the engine (and Japanese ingenuity). Also if driven sensibly on a run this car will return 30+ mpg. Storage space is not as limited as you might think either with a reasonable sized boot behind the engine; there is also a small amount of space under the bonnet & behind the seats.

I spent a long time looking for this particular model i.e. one that had been looked after well and unmolested by over eager boy racers! Car has full service history old Mot’s, invoices and the like. The overall condition of this car is excellent with the interior being unmarked with no tares. There are two very minor dents on the body work which are hardly noticeable and two small chips in the windscreen. (13yrs old remember).

The car came standard with a Toyota CD/Tape & Radio combination unit that has since died and been replaced with a Remote Control Sony CD/MP3/Radio head unit - the original Toyota amplifier & Sub still work through this system.

Also fitted inside the vehicle is a radar detector unit that beeps when you are approaching a speed traps/cameras/police car – quite a useful gizmo – came with the car when I bought it and will go with it.

Car is fitted with a CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser including certificate of fitting.

The car was last serviced at 115k and in the time I’ve owned it I have covered another 6k. During that time I have had no trouble with the car at all although I have had to buy two new rear tyres and have just recently replaced the radiator due to the baffle sections gradually falling out which in time could prevent the radiator from doing its job properly. I have all the receipts from this work.

The Car has 11mths MOT (10th June 2006) & 5mths TAX - it needed various bushes & widgets for the test - I also had the rear discs & pads replaced as they were getting near the mark.

I am not involved in the motor trade in any way so any mechanical information I have given is based on the opinion of my trusted local garage and as far as I am aware the car is in sound condition. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have & also welcome anybody to view the car before the end of the auction.

During the last few days the car has started to misfire every so often. think it may just need some new plugs/leads. doesn't affect the drive in anyway just misses ever so often! just thought id mention it and Ive lowered my asking price accordingly.
