knocking and rattling coming from the rear of the car when going over potholes i have put new bushes on back tail gate but car needs more can anyone advise

nah its probably just the tailgate rubbers.. common prob and sounds like the back of the car is about to fall apart.

if it is that, its one hell of a fiddlie job. knife and mole grips. watch that paint work...hee hee

probabley worth replacing anyway.

if u do think about doing it, drop me a line and i'll give u soom tips.

i bet its ur rear brakes....... :ffs:

the rear springs are new but are self adjusting the ride is brick hard so i dont know if this is the causeof all the noise

as i said.....strip the back wheels off and have a look at ur brakes. i bet this is where the noise is comming from.

You have checked the tool kit and everything around the spare wheel is tight ?

i noticed that i had the same noise comming from my rear end also on the car not my bum lol :P and i found it was the rear breaks little tip tho dont go buying rear shoes from toyota omg just paid £52 ROBBING GITS haha

but anyway the noise was the rear discs moving just ever so slightly hope this helps

Not sure, was convinced it would be tailgate rubbers but as he says has done these already.

Could be a loose suspension point or similar. Always hard to diagnose noises over the internet
