Mobile Phone Warning.

Just had the following in my mailbox.

All mobile users pay attention. If you receive a phone call and your Mobile phone displays( ACE) on the screen don't answer the call. END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY.

If you answer the call, your phone will be infected by a virus. This

virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone

and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with

the telephone Network. You will have to buy a new phone. This

nformation has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are over

3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus all around

the world. You can also find this information on the CNN web

site.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS PIECE OF INFORMATION TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS

WHO HAVE MOBILE PHONES.

Yes mate i hear something similar to this on GMTV but this was when you phone rang you will see a skull and crossbow appear on the screen and then your phone would have a virus. This was mainly caused by having bluetooth.

Yup, it's a hoax, as confirmed by Sophos Anti-Virus Ltd.

There is only one real virus that can affect mobile phones at present, and that affects the "Symbian" operating systems.

So those of you with a Nokia 6600 and the like, just be wary if you receive a file called "virus," and it asks you if you want to run it - yes, that's right. It can only infect your phone if you allow it to run!

the virus for the symbian phones can at worst corrupt your memory card, im on my second card now :censor: been assured that no virus on any phone can affect the os, and DEFINATELY not make calls, as this would break a LOT of work that has gone into stopping people making free "chipped" calls
