Cuba...a Car enthusiasts Heaven.

The amount of classics is amazing, admitedly a lot are rough but thats part of the course.

The 50's Yank Tanks are amazing +plus a lot of Russian classics(Moskvich, Volgas etc.), when you come post some of the piccies up.

if u tip the waiters and cleaners, they look after u soooooooooooo well.

they will treat u like gods. u may even get clean sheets every day........only joking.

I went cayo-coco a couple of years ago best holiday yet

Swimming with the dolphins is supposed to be a must although they wasn't doinging it when i went for some reason

Food was a little dodgy but edible

And get ready for that 9hr flight

Yeah, i've heard the food can be a bit ropey but who's eating when there's free alcohol!!!

I'm going to Varredero, 2hours from Havanna.

Who did you fly with? Wanna try and gage how harsh the flight will be as i'm 6"5'!!!

Any help/advice greatfully received, wanna make this holiday as flash as possible!!!

I went with JMC

Im about 5"8ish and could of done with more leg room.

Ask if you can sit next to the wing as i belive these seats have more leg room due to the emergency exit

Foods not really that bad unless you'r a veggy as they seem to put

meat in everythink (Well they did where we stayed)

Read the second or third (can't remember) chapter of Clarksons Motor World book. He's got some interesting stories to tell. Apparently most of the classic cars have Lada engines in due to the cost of parts and fuel.

Yes thats right.

Cuba received a lot of aid from former USSR during cold war, hence the supply of Russian power units, plus the fact a lot of 70's Russian cars were shipped there and still exist over there along side the 50's Yank cars.
