I Hate Public Transport.....................

I can fully understand what you mean about the treatment of public transport drivers.

Used to see the abuse even our school bus driver got from little kids - i'd usually end up givin em a slap for being such a ****, but that's another story....

As Steve said, people's attitudes need to change. It seems to be the minority of idiots ruining it for everyone.

As like Steve's example, I've been to Canada a few times, and it's so clean over there, you'd eat off the bus floor.

It's simply because they have no vandilism on their public transport.

Until hubikr penalties come into affect, I think it will continue like this, or could possibly even get worse.

They've finally introduced a bus stop into the middle of our little village. Just wonder how long it is until the nice clean bus that pulls up 3 times a week, becomes such a state from selfish idiots thinking that it's fine to mess it all up....

Ah well - at least you do enjoy the job! :D

public transport is what YOU make it, if you dont ask why theres not a stop there, then there isnt gonna be a stop there, the local councils send out LOADS of data collectors to try and improve services, but if your not on the transport then your voice wont be heard!

and it doesnt matter how much money goes into public transport, the reason places like japans transport works so well is that jobs are more cenralised, not like britain where people travel for miles in all different directions to get to work!

also some councils run contract services with local businesses, you should ask to see what routes are mapped out, if theres any!

on the other point that seems to have arisen, buses are kept to a good standard at my depot, yet i can guarantee that before dinner time, at least half the fleet have been recalled to clean summit up! puts things in perspective when sometimes the most considerate passengers are the late night drunks! i actually look forward to getting them on, make much more intelligent conversation than some of the other numpties!!!

Jon bet you did not expect this to be such a hot topic

Kim - you're right there. Now to put the other side of the story. Today I had to travel from Barry Dock to Droitwich so I could pick up my car from the workshop. I had no problems whatsoever :D . The trains were on punctual and clean but then only one of then was run by Arriva Trains Wales - pehaps that had something to do with it??????????
