carina estate N reg , misfiring plus noisy and lacks powere intermittent rac have tested ht leads and plugs but ok

is it the fuel injectors and are they expensive

ran it past farmer and carlisle expensive ???

Hi + welcome to the Forum :)

You need to see if there are any fault codes stored in the ECU first(bridge terminals T1+E1 or TE1+E1 depending on year,on the diagnostic link under the bonnet with the ignition switched ON) - that should narrow it down a bit.

What sort of noise is it making ?? Rattle,knock,blowing exhaust - is the noise on tickover,does it go or get louder as the rev's increase??

i have come across the spark plugs being loose before and it sounds like the tappets are rattling badly.

A misfire is normally down to an ignition problem(plugs/HT leads/moisture on the dizzy cap) or lack of Compression.

Has the fuel filter and air filter been changed recently??
