not got a clue, but i've tinited the cars windows and gonna lower it next month, but i can't find any lamps for it, cos i wanna change the rear lamps to a smoked set (suppose i couls spray them lightly with black paint) and change the front indicators so i don't have the orange bit inside, cos i recon it'll look better all clear.

Any help also greatful.

any ideas' for lowering springs, i wanna lower it about 40MM, but can only find 35mm springs, also will that "drop" the back end, so it's level??

dead right nezerr on the painting lights issue. beats me why anyone wants to dull down the only piece of information that tell other road users what you are doing. why not just buy a beemer and stop using the indicators !

mackers - if you take the orange away from the indicators you'll fail the MOT as well. If you have an accident then you'll also carry the blame all the way for failing to give correct signals.

Even better - why not buy some blue light inserts for the washer jets and completely invalidate your insurance. In the UK only vehicles registered or insurance for the emergency services can carry blue lights. Even if they are on display but not shrouded you can still be prosecuted. So there's an instant 3 points just for having invalid insurance without even taking the car off the driveway.

there nothing wrong with moddin a motor - just keep it safe. I don't want to rear end a nice toyota coz i cant see the brake lights.

That's just like my old one!

Well smart mate, proper tasteful modding!

And penfold, sorry mate but it wouldn't fail the MOT if the amber is taken from the indicators there are cars all over the shop with clear indicators. They only need amber bulbs really. I think that's what Mackers was getting at.

Penfold... i've been moddin cars for yrs and co-own a website, also my last car, a golf was mag featured too, so i DO know the in and outs of the law, thankyou, for your info, i've been told the "older shape" indicators are clear, but i can only find the 'frosted effect' ones........ if so will they fit??, (they have an orange bulb...... the way i wanted to go, cos i can get a 'silver bulb' from demon tweeks) and it flashes amber so no legalities there, as for the rear lamps, i lightly sprayed them the same colour as the car ( jus as MKUK has mentioned above), and took it to an MOT station (sprayed lamps in the back of the car) ask fitted them there and then and was found to be ok all i had to do was fit 2 little reflective red squares (like you gert when you buy most after market rear lamps, i also checked with a mate of mine, who works on traffic (the lads in the T-5's) and confirmed it was ok, upon looking at a few "bought off the shelf lamps" mine actually showed a "better light", so it doesn't say much about the lamps people spend around £80 for.

Hi mackers the spoiler i got from eBay for £30 (a bargain ,i think) and it looks like it was made for the avensis, as it fits perfectly.

I consider it to be a better fit and look than the factory spec sr spoiler.

I have a front debaged mesh type grill for the face lift avensis for sale, thats the one with the Badge on the grill not the bonnet .

Get in touch if your interested and make me an offer.

Is there an area on the forum for modding, advice etc?

Anyway looked at the zs spoiler mentioned for sale on eBay, looks great on a hatch, bit unsure how it would look on a saloon ;).

can anyone tell me if there is an easy way(ie.no damage) to remove the door protector strips?(are they just stuck on like the badges?)

I'm either going to replace with new ones (painted the same color as the car along with the bumpers) or get nice shiny chrome ones to fit, To match the interor which i'm in the process of removing and covering in Chrome look as well. :) (crappy imitation cheap wood look)

Next new Wheels (just need to convince the wife first :censor: :censor: )

Cheers
