Speaker Problem On '54 Reg T Sport

Just picked up my T Sport this morning and am dead chuffed! However, I fiddled about with the radio on my way to work, but when I tried fading the sound to the rear I get nothing! :(

I'm sure it's not a big problem, but just wanted to find out if anyone else has had a similar problem??? Usually I'd start poking about myself to fix a problem on my car, but as it's the newest car I've ever owned I don't want to risk it and start pulling trim off!

The garage I bought it from is too far away to go back to anytime soon, so should I just take it to my local Toyota dealer??? Also, will it be a free-of-charge inspection???

Cheers guys!

It should be covered under the warranty (is the car < 3 years old?)

If so, any toyota dealer should sort it FOC.

Be patient.....I've found this forum helpful but a bit less 'active' than the one associated with my last marque. (land Rover)

Answers can take a few days to come in... sometimes none land at all.

As to your question. The t-sport has a pretty average sound system fitted ( no where as near as good as my Land Rover Discovery) that said all the Speakers should work.

As long as you are sure your rear speaker sound problem is not associated with something you have done with the settings on the radio take it to ANY Toyota dealer. This is a warranty issue and they are reuired to fix it. You may get a snooty reaction from a dealer that you did not purchase the car from but that is not your problem.

Any Toyota dealer can claim for legitimate warranty work (including tracing the source of the problem) - just book it in (insisting on a loan car) and get them to sort it...........

Good luck........

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I know I should be more patient LOL! I've come from Glanza V territory so am probably a bit spoilt from using www.toyotaownersclub.com for 2 years where there's worldwide members replying 24/7! :group-cuddles:

As for the Speakers, I've tried every setting and still no joy. The only problem is my car is booked in next Wednesday to have a bluetooth carkit installed (free of charge through my company) so I don't think I'll get it fixed by Toyota before then so Toyota might claim it was caused by the carkit installers. I'll possibly get the installer to check if there's any loose connections at the back of the headunit while he's at it.

The good news is my car was originally purchased from Jemca Toyota Group in Croydon and my local dealer is Jemca Toyota in Edgware Road so hopefully they'll play ball
