I have a P reg Carina E 1.6. When I bought it secondhand it only came with a grey key. I paid local Toyota dealer to provide a new black key which also involved replacing the ECU (expensive). The grey key is now broken so I am left with one black key. I would like to get a spare key but Toyota dealer is quoting £120!

Anyone know how I can get another key without being ripped off?

Use the broken grey key and strap with a cable tie around the ignition barrel. Get another bog standard key cut (without transponder) for £5 from a key cutters. Job done.
