Half the office has installed this at work. It's funny how for about a fortnight everytime you looked around people were scanning the globe.

Try Giza (the pyramids & sphinx) that's quite impressive, you'll never need to travel abroad again, just travel the world virtually. I use it to work out the length of routes that I run using the "Path" tool. The route finder is quite cool as well, especially the "drive" between your locations that you follow on the map.

It's a pity the resolution isn't better when you zoom in.

The directions are useless though - it seems to only know major roads so for my regular journey it tries to send me through the centre of Mansfield which is about 4 miles further and takes about 30 minutes longer on a good day.

Nice application though apart from that.

If you can get the (lat, long) coordinates, you can input these into the search and it will zoom to them.

I just saw the mountains of South Africa with my work colleague, who happens to be South African!
