At 5pm today a tornado hit Peterborough and uprooted trees and placed then has done some damage to the area where i live and luckily no one was hurt but everone down our steet has had damage to their propety or car

One of my neighbours has a tree i his living room and a major hole in his ceiling and another neighbours roof of his house has cracked from the walls where the tree hit and both have had to move out.

4 cars have been damaged one totally written off.

The only good thing to come out of this is all of us got out after and cleared up the branches and helped neighbours to move their stuff out and everone is still in shock this is not the sort of weather we expect in this country.

I have some pics i'll be posting up in a moment.

yeah it hit birmingham at 3 o clock,

took roofs off buildings, they said on the news one of the buildings may have to be demolised due to tree hitting it.

Must have been slow moving if it took 2hours to reach peterborough

it must have taken a wrong turn,as they said it was heading for yorkshire.

Looks pretty bad  . We don't usually get them that bad in this country. It also hit Spalding in Lincolnshire. Don't know what damage was caused there though.

!Removed! hell!

Hope is everyone is ok.

Not the sort of thing you'd expect to see in this country.

Everyone will be claiming global warming next, but in reality we're due for a coldsnap according to the past (goes into geographer mode...).
