Corolla Wti Auto Locking

hi there, the car is a corolla wti i think around 2001 or so.

When you start the car the doors automatically lock and passengers cant open the doors until the driver unlocks them from the driver control panel. As you can imagine this is quite irritating. Can anyone tell me how this can be turned off?

Hi -

My Verso doesn't have the autolock function. I live in crimy SA, and not having to think about locking doors before moving off is a bonus.

My 2001 Renault Scenic had auto locking, and to disable this function you had to keep the internal central locking button depressed for a few seconds.
