Swapped the engine this weekend!

Got to wire everything up still, and bolt everything back on.

Then suspension and I'm done for now, until i replace all the brakes!

Coolio.

What engine have you dropped in?

And what are you looking at for braking system upgrades?

'tis an MG Metro 1275, 3.44 Diff.

Looking into cooper S 7.5" discs to go down to 10" wheels!

Cool.

Engine mounts the same for the engine then?

What about callipers - keeping them as they are (stock?) ?

Cooper S calipers etc.

Engine mounts pretty much the same, just had to swap a few parts from the mini engine onto the metro engine!!

Wikid.

Looks splendiferous matey.

Keep it all sleeper-esque.

I would say paint it matt black, but I've got a fetish for the colour.

Lol....

:D

Hi ya,

Going the right way. (this is the same set up we've got in the Moke)

Out of curiosity where you get your 7.5" disc set up from?

(Ones we had for Moke were an original set up from a 60's cooper)

Remember about 10 years ago there was a problem with the ones sold by Mini Sport in Padiham.

Also who's is and what is the scooter (to the rear of the pick?).

Keep it going!

P.S. Leave it red and white as is ...classic Mini colours!

I'm gonna buy a complete brand new conversion kit from minispares - £300.

I don't skimp when it comes to brakes, they are gonna save my life afterall.

The scooter is an old lambretta, and belongs to my mate B)

Oh yeah, and when I removed the starter motor a load of oil ****** out the flywheel housing, so had to pull the flywheel, replaced primary gear oil seal, and replace clutch plate - PITA!

:lol::lol::lol:

Oh yes the crankcase oil seal behind the clutch/flywheel/starter ring (and the flywheel ring is always a b***er to get off even with the 3bolt flywheel puller) done a few of them with Mini ownership. Thankfully only ever done 'em with Mini Clubmans with single circuit brakes so plenty of room to do it in situ.
