Hi all,

Im back off my sunny hol's!! :(

And the first day back i've bought some new 13cm Sony Xplod Speakers.

However, after taking the door off, and sorting things out. I discovered that the old standard Speakers have these (girlie words) silver hole things that look like washers dont come off with a screw driver, or by pull, or swearing at them, so.... how the hell do you get them off!?

Well, it works for me! :D :D

Why not call on your boyfriend/dad/brother to help you out - thats my back up plan if the Penelope Pitstop impression fails! I dont do drills either - thats why I've got Rich, to drill n stuff!

I didnt get a speaker adapter. All i did was drill out rivets destroy old Speakers and replace them with my new Speakers. Althought i think mine were 16.5cm and not 13cm, cant remember. I then siliconed/screwed in my new Speakers to old mount and screwed this back in sounds cool.........alt u can make one out of 18mm MDF by using old mount as template and finding screw holes and then making the right size hole for ur speaker. Both work

There is an autoleads adaptor that Halfords or the like can order but its made for 16.5cm Speakers.

Alternatively you could make your own adaptors out of mdf or similar.

If you're gonna take the door to bits its worthwhile using some gaffa tape to tighten up the plastic covering on the door internals - it'll stop rattles and squeaks at later dates.
