Le Mans....

Just an idea for the future maybe...

I saw all the car's & clubs coming back from Le Mans last night through Dover, loads of Porsche's, Ferrari's, Scooby's, TVR's, a good few classics including Cobras, a wicked bright orange Lamborghini Murciélago with a wheelspinning nutter behind the controls! ( ), the Mitisi GTO club - about 10-15 of them all bumper-to-bumper looked fantastic (especially the yellow one with underbody neons), and a good few more 'normal' cars It was like 'The Cannonball Run'!!!!!

Anywayz how cool would it be to do a TOC & LOC run down to Le Mans maybe in a couple of years when the club grows?!! :D (It's about 300 miles outside Calais.)

I'm sure it would be expensive & I don't know if I'd trust my car not to pack up in the middle of France!! But it would be so cool!!

Yea I looked at the GTO forum & they camped but prices are still high!!

P.S Well done Bentley!!! 1 & 2 - Car 8 Mark Blundell, Johnny Herbert & David Brabham finished 2nd, first win for Bentley in 70 years!

I drove around part of the Le mans circuit in '95 on a Press Trip, as it is part normal road and part track - no probs. Played the Golf Course inside the track as well. Lovely area. Great drive to get there.

Yea it would be cool B) , would take some serious organising though as Supercharged pointed out.

Reading the GTO forum is quite amusing, they did a 170+mph convoy down to Le Sarthe, but on the way back one of there guys lost his driving licence for doing 165mph :( ...slightly harsh! Radar dectectors are ILLEGAL in France - they saw an Aston Martin driver being fined for having one...
