Turbo Trouble

i am having a turbo problem on a 91 lucida

from start the turbo works normally but if i accelerate hard the orange light comes on and stays lit and the turbo stops working there is no black smoke and no noises from the turbo and when i switch off and restart the turbo works normally again until i accelerate

any ideas?

how many muiles has the turbo done ?

Don't they need to be rebuilt after x number of miles, I'm not to clear on this but could be the problem ?

Don't think it would stop. Not really all that posible.

Cause may be a faulty boost solenoid or wastgate staying open causing a straight through effect. I'm sure the turbo would keep spinning or you'd have other far worse symptoms.

Trying cleaning out the boost solenoid with brake clean. Just fill the pipes up to flush it.
