hi,

i have just bought my first celica, 1994 import very nice as you are all aware.

i have 2 questions though

1. the kph speedo

i have heard about the converasion kit that fits onto the speedo calbe and slows it down for mph. can anyone tell me what they are called and any links to where i can purchase one. also the speed limiter, how fo i get round that?

2. the CD/ cassette radio is japanese fitted and the FM stereo goes to 90mhz (this is fine as i can get the signal booster) but the CD player will not play UK cd's. is there something i need to do or is it a case of replacing the whole unit with a new one.

With the CD player, i just replaced the whole thing in mine

It may be a dirty word to some people but i just went to Halfords

Very helpful

Got a sony CD player, tray for underneath, and the wire conversion blocks

The guy there helped me to fit it all in and it was a five minute job with a screwdriver.

Looks good when finished.

Must admit i paid the extra for the toyota tray instead of the universal one cause the guy said it fitted better.

the old one works fine just spits out CD's, when i replace it (poss this weekend) i will let you know. make me an offer!

spitting out cd's means its goosed then mate , laser is knackered , they wont work when the car is cold but work after say 30 minutes of driving , been there done that. thanks anyway.
