In most cases, people carriers do have reinforced tyres, these are tyres that are a little stronger than standard car tyres and not as strong as van tyres (6 or 8ply rated).. If you are getting uneven wear on your tyres, even though your tracking etc is ok, it could be because you have standard car tyres on at the moment.. reinforced tyres will have the word reinforced written on them.

A couple of ways to check if you need reinforced tyres.. check the maximum pressure for the tyres on your car (smnall print on sidewall) and compare it with the actual pressure for the car when fully loaded.. if the maximum for your tyres is lower than that for the car.. you will need freinforced.

Check the load ratings..the maximum weight the tyre can carry.. multiply it by 4 (because there are 4 tyres) the final number should be more than the fully loaded weight of the car.. if not, again you need reinforced tyres.

Personally, i WOULD suggest you put reinforced tyres on.

If no garages have the correct data,, The best thing to do is get a Geometric check done.. these are the same checks i would recomend to anyone who lowers/changes suspension setup on any car... the reason for this is because when the suspension is changed, the standard tracking/allignment settings are no longer any use, as these are for the standard setup.

Even althgough you haven't changed your set up getting a Geometric check/adjustment will allign the vehicle to the correct settings no matter what the setup, and you should get a print out which will tell you the correct tracking setup for future referance. A geometric check will also tell you if the castor and camber need adjusting too.

Shop around for prices, and stay away from dealers, average price where i live is around 50 quid adjusted. thumbsup.gif

probably is the same as the Previa.

Edit: This is the answer to your other topic
