I need to remove the belt and alternator on my CDX, but not 100% sure on how to do it, can anyone give me some help with the aid of the following diagrams?

Firstly, the alternator is static, it doesnt pivot and tension up the belt.

The diagram above shows a tool used to go onto what looks like a bolt head, which you then rotate.

Yellow Arrow - The fore mentioned bolt

Blue Arrow - Presumably the tensioner wheel/pulley

Red Arrow - Looks like some sort of dampner/loaded tensioner

Im thinking that all i have to do is to use a ratchet and socket, place it on the bolt head, and lift to push the tensioner dampner downward, therefore relieving the tension of the belt.

Is it just that simple?
