Why not ask him if he will refund the buyer and let him / her keep the car if it's subsequently put on a rolling road and the dyno print proves it won't do 180 MPH :D

That`ll be the next question. :D

Here`s the Q & A`s so far.

Q: Sorry mate you are wrong with the speed. You will never get 120 in 3rd gear and you will never get 180mph top speed - the car just won't do it!!! I have one the same. You are getting kph mixed up with mph it does 75mph in 3rd. You would have to supercharge the engine to get it anywhere near that speed. Also you say it has ABS but the ABS stuff isn't in the pictures!! 13-Aug-05

A: how can i get it wrong when it is there in the picture in black and white it saysMPH,you can race cars to see who is right or who is wrong, and i know it has not got abs,got cars mixed up,sorry about that.

Q: its not got abs either as advertised. 13-Aug-05

A: sorry it hasnt got abs

Q: those figures you quote are in kilometers per hour, the car has jap speedo dials fitted.180 kph is 112 mph , and your 120 in third is actually 75 mph - good luck with the sale though , great looking car .i own a gt4 with the same dials 13-Aug-05

A: my car is not the same as your car just because it comes from the same place as yours,it is my car and you dont know nothing about it,cheers.

Q: Hello mate. Lovely looking car. If your wondering where all the hits are coming from ... Look here. http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41131 There seems to be some doubts about your claims. I`m not being malicious but thought it fair to bring it to your attention as you may wish to alter your description. I suspect the speedo converter fitted to imports to re calibrate the speedometer into MPH is not functioning correctly and therefore reading in KMH which obviously can be misleading if your unaware of the problem. Good luck in selling your car anyway. Regards Martin H 13-Aug-05

A: how can you be so sure it is not working,i have raced with british cars and they cannot beat my car,why is this.

Q: The 'MPH' sticker in the middle of the speedo looks really well done. It's not liable to peel off in the sun? 13-Aug-05

A: of course it wont come off,if you know so much about it is that what you have done to your car,i have not put anything on this car and never will, what you see is the way that i bought this car if you want to look at my car you are welcome to see it ,cheers

Q: top speed 137MPH. 90MPH in third! 13-Aug-05

A: yes top speed 180 actually,thanks

Q: hi mate i notice you have mph on the clocks but obviously calibrated in kph the 2.0 does not and will never reach a speed of 180 unless u push it over a big cliff!! and it certainly wont reach 120 in 3rd . unless u have got a ferrari engine slid in under the bonnet . 13-Aug-05

A: if you dont believe me come and have a look for yourself.

Q: Hi Im a trader and i specialise in Celicas/supras. Im very interested in your car but im worried about the speedo conversion. Can you tell me who did it and is it still under warrenty as it must be quite a bit out if its reading 120mph in third. The gearbox is only capable of 105 max in third. thanks for your time Lee 13-Aug-05

A: the speedo was in the car like that when i bought it,if you want to have a look and try out the car you are welcome to.i have drove it myself and have gone to speeds of 170mph,the only reason i know this, when you go on the motorway they read your speed and it came up 170mph,cheers.

Q: 120mph in 4th!!! 140 top speed. 12-Aug-05

A: top speed is 180

I would question the first answer though. 75mph in third? Are the 6th gens geared very differently to the 5th gens, as my 5th gen will do 100mph at 7000rpm in 3rd.

I think he's trying to say that he's actually doing 120kmh, which equates to 75mph. :)

my latest question is _ "did this car belong to a part time comedian who left his joke book in the boot ?"

read this guys answers to more questions, 1 guy on the gt4oc has even reported him to the police for dangerous driving and reported the url to eBay , too funny.

I was going to report him to eBay on the basis of resorting to "mother.....f......" stuff.

I think on the basis of resorting to that kind of thing, or even knowing that he'd ragged the stuffing out the car, nobody can serious think about buying it would they?!

Nice rims on it...  Question is, why spend £1,250 on wheels / tyres ("in the last 2 days"), and a 'zorst then sell it almost straight away??  Something doesn't seem right...

I'm glad you like the rims, these look identical (are probably the same) as I have on my Gen 6 :D

My Gen 6 GT will do about 100 in 3rd, he is quite clearly, wrong! I wonder where you would get with eBay and him if you bought it and discovered the truth?
