Whats That Noise?

when driving with the window down i can hear a faint metal tinging noise, its differcult to tell if its from the front or rear,i think it the rear. is there any suggestions at all pls. i thought that it may be the rear brakes.

sorry abit vague with info but there isnt much more i can really say. thank you

ps if changing pads what would be a good choice for a st185

Good morning. :D Sounds like the noise may be the anti rattle shims which the pads clip into (Or lack of them. :unsure: ) As for pads. There`s quite a lot of debate as to which is best. I personally have Mintex pads fitted which seem to cope ok. Incidentally i think i`m right in saying that Mintex are part of thr TMD Friction group who also make Pagid and Textar pads. So perhaps they`ll all be pretty similar. :thumbsup:

I think I have this noise!!!!!! I have described it as 'bunch of keys rattling on disc'

How do I check if I have anti-rattle shims?
