im no expert so please correct me if im wrong but my car struggles to go into 1st, or 3rd there is friction and its as if i have to "force" it in. . . i can't even get into 5th gear. 2nd and 4rth are perfectly fine though, reverse i believe is ok aswell. . . its as if the gearbox is slipping and out of place. . . should i get this repaired? or start looking for a new gearbox? any advice and price quotes would be great, thanx in advance

I'm Assuming it's not the clutch, or the clutch cable stretched.

( is the biting point on the pedal really low to the floor?? it's worth adjusting the cable to lift the bite higher, just to be sure. )

As far as getting the gearbox repaired goes, if it is the gearbox, wouldn't it be a cheaper option putting another one in instead? Not too sure how readily available Paseo parts are at breakers yards in Aus, but if you can find one it shouldn't cost you too much. Then just bolt the new one on .
