I own a 2003 Corolla T-Sport 1800cc 6-speed manual gearbox and I was wondering if anyone here knows the step-by-step process for changing the gearbox oil as I want to do this job myself.

Thanks

hi,

im not sure about the corolla t sport, but i changed the box oil on a ford orion 1.8 16v before. i popped the drive shaft out the of the box and jacked the car up to allow the old oil to run out. re fitted drive shaft and filled from filler hole using the attachment that comes on the end of bottle of oil. it fits nicely in the screw hole... i filled it with the handbooks stated amount of oil as i was not sure how to check the amount, because there is no dipstick on the box...

not sure if this is how a mechanic would do this job, but it worked for me

On the deepest point of the Gearbox ( look under the Car ) there,s a Bolt 24mm i gues thats the one you have to unscrew put something under there to catch the oil up

on the frontside of the gearbox there,s that same bold 24mm thats the 1 that you olso have to unscrew it sits halfway high on the gearbox  and thats olso the place to fill it up with the new Gearboxoil .

When all the Gearboxoil is out screw the 24 mm bolt back on the underside of the Gearbox than put a gardenhose in the opening and put the plastic 1 liter gearboxoil on it and sqweez the plastic bottle when your holding it up side DOWN

you have to buy 3 liter gearboxoil but ask your dealer how much exacly you hev to put in the gearbox ( 2,1 liter i think but i,am not sure
