Im looking to buy a turbo timer for my gtt, and was wondering if they work with a cat1 alarm and immobiliser?

some do and some dont.

im not sure what the rules are but i think if you have a turbo timer that doesnt work with your alarm setup then your alarm is no longer cat1.

not too sure though. i think some cliffords have a turbo timer integration function.

my alarm is cat1 and ive installed a turbo timer that was removed when the alarm was put in. it works ok but i cannot arm the car until the engine stops. i can lock the door with the key though and the passive immobiliser will still come in.

i can also turn my timer off completely so i can just have it as it was when i got the car.

ask your insurance company.
