Mpgs Against Varying Driving Speed?

im getting like 33mpg

I get 40mpg+ usually as I hardly ever drive fast anymore, dunno whats wrong with me really!

When i first got my car i would get about 180-220 miles from one tank and pretty **** MPG. Now i get around 280-350miles per tank depending on how much Mway driving I am doing. My avg mpg was abt 45 at one point but had 2 take out dash so lost my mpg data, is abt 31 atm Oh well

My average is around 40mpg depending on how I drive it?

Plus when your running out of petrol what warnings happens......I don't mean the car stops :P !

Is the first thing that happens:

The bottom bar flashes first, then the petrol indicator signal turns on ?

how many miles after that can I do when it turns on?

Plus how many miles could I do between each indication?

Nah, there isn't any petrol indicator light, when the last bar flashes that is your petrol indicator light mate!

On mine, the last bar flashes.

The quicker it flashes, the less fuel there is.

I've got 50 miles on the last bar before, driving at national speed limit, and accelerating slower than average...

I thought that we had a warning light of a petrol pump and that lit up when it was dead/dying?

On mine (p2), you have a little picture of a petrol pump next to your fuel gauge. This pump also has a little arrow above/ below it, pointing left or right.

This indicates which side of the car your filler cap is on.

The last bar flashes at 3 different rates, dependant on how much fuel is left.

Firstly, it's about once every 2 seconds, then once a second, then twice a second.

I usually let mine get to the last bar or two, and then fill up.

I always fill mine up with around 2 bars left......but it's good to know just incase!

I suggest checking your owners manual, as IIRC, it differs between P1, P2, French and Jap models....
