After lots of swearing at the heavy rain recently and many days of getting wet on my way to work

ive finally cured the leaks - amazing what you can do with a tube of black silicone!

Anyway it tipped it down today and not a single drop! :D

id recommend this technique to anybody with the same problem :thumbsup:

exellent result. tube of silicone, bag of ty-wraps and a roll of gaffer tape, best tools around

Got it from B & Q and Put it in the places that i thought it was leaking from and then put cling film over and put the t-bar back down,

you have to get one that 'sets' , some stay tacky and this is not the one you want ;)

Nice one Teegs.... might have to look into that :P what with the heavy rain, if I dont put Skye's roof on exactly straight... i get the occasional drip :P

I can confirm this work, looks a bit iffy when you take the t-bars off tho and u have the imprint of the gaffer tape on there.

Yes it does look a tad rough but only because i havent got round to tidying it up, but i never take the t-bars off anyway - i feel like a right poser! Dont know why i bought t-bar actually! :rolleyes:

I never take it off andy - so no point in having it really, only take it off to clean it!

I darent drive around without it because like i said i look like a poser :(

I am thinking I will be going down the route of rods for mine... that and mebbe some silicon spray too :P lol

Has anybody actually bought new seals ? i know they are expensive just wondering how expensive?

might be a future option to save messing about any more

Thats a good idea Teegs.... I actually have no idea how much new seals are :P.... I might have to look into it...

Reckon its a part direct from Mr T only? anyone know the part/s number/s ? :P
