Hi all.......... :D

Purchased my RAV at start of August 2002 VX 5dr D4D. Like it a lot but have an anyoing parcel shelf. That squeeks a lot. Have some ideas my self on possible fixes but was wondering if there was a tried and tested method.

Also last owner lost the radio manual. It is the Casset with the 6cd changer under the passenger seat. I think the number on the front is 18302...Will check later...

Tried looking on eBay and rav4world (forum is down at moment)...

Any help thanks...... :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Welcome :D

I have wrapped little felt strips round the shelf mounting points - literally felt strips looped over and stapled to make a wide ring - the shelf then fits over these to isolate the two hard plastic sufaces.

Stopped a good 80% of the rattle - now need to sort the roller cover mech to stop the rest.

Hope that helps - don't shoot me if it doesn't though ... :lol:
