After owning an mr2 turbo for a few weeks, ive decided to sell it as ive not got on with it, so Luckily I havent sold my paseo.

I think im going to keep my paseo for abit longer, But id like to make it abit quicker, I was going to do the turbo swap but was more difficult than expected so just put another 5e-fe engine back in but with only 37k.

What can I do to get abit more power out of this engine?

Any suggestions welcome and thanks in advance.

oh my god. keep the mr2. you're never going to get any decent power out of the paseo unless you drop a lot of money one one of those turbos.

i get what richie is getting at. some cars, however good they may be, just dont suit some people and the way they drive.

mr2s arent very practical and they really dont do alot for me. i would like something like a skyline or supra but i just know i wouldnt get on with them. they are far too big and i prefer hatchbacks and small saloons.

its just a matter of preference.

you can use the cam's, bigger injectors, and i think the inlet mani from the 5ehfe sera engine i think.

i have most of these parts... or you could put a whole sera engine in a start from there... but i would still say the 4efte 1.3t is your best bet for power.

Dac69er, that is exactly what im on about, were on the same wave length ;)

Tim, Would these parts all fit the 5e-fe? Do you know how much difference itll make? When my cambelt snapped on the last engine, i was going to get andrew to do the 4e-fte swap but the more info we got about it the harder it sounded so in the end we decided not to bother because it would have cost in the region of £5k.

they would fit, as its essentially the same engine. i think problems only arise when considering the acis manifold. im thinking of " 5efhe-fying " my 5efe, so ill get the acis, camshafts, injectors, pistons, crank, cylinder head, con rods, and whatever else from the 5efhe... yes, i could just get a 5efhe, but thats no fun...and thats later on in my plans anywah

plus the 5efhe has slightly different wiring due to the separate coil.
