Wooden Strips - I Hate Them

My 2005 Avensis came with those wood-imitation strips through dashboard and doors. Problem is that in Portugal you can't by new Avensis with carbon strips. UK delivers the car with wooden ones only. At this point, I can't even order new ones (carbon) because at Toyota I need to give the chassis number for them to order any spare part. So, they told me if we do it that way I would get wooden ones again. Dealer told me he's not even sure that carbon ones are the same fitting, so even if I menage them he is not sure I would fit them.

I took them out trying to cover them with carbon imitation adhesive film. Took me a lot of work but I just couldn't do all curves perfectly, even with warming up the film. So I ripp all out and put them back.

Anyone did something about the same problem??? If I menage new carbon strips what would they cost and would the fit???

Maybe someone with carbon ones wants to trade for wooden ones??
