Rear Light Covnersion

I really want to do a rear light conversion on my '90, to replace those two tupperware boxes on the back with something more attractive and less water-retentive. One thought was something Skyline-esque, with round lights recessed into a fabricated panel, but I don't know if they would suit the shape of the car.

Mk4 lights were something I considered at one point, but they just seem too narrow for the space, and they look cack if not done properly.

Was nosing around google earlier and saw a pic of a 300zx rear and it gave me the thought that those might be a very good match, and a little bit of black paint sprayed on the inside should get rid of the logo.

Anyone know if these are a single piece, how they fit, if they're one piece units, or if the lights come off the backplate, and if the black part would be flexible enough if any slight re-aligning was required (i.e. bending the bugger).

Or indeed any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The easiest way to get rid of the nasty stock uk lights (I too have always hated them) is to get some JDM or USDM rear lights..

I put JDM rears on mine, US ones look the same, but are made of brighter red plastic.

new seals where the light goes to the body will fit all three types and cost £10 each.

When I was on my first supra I was going to smooth off the tailgate, relocacte the numperplate into the rear bumper, and put six tiny round recessed tail lights in (theived from a fiat coupe, with an extra fog and extra reverse light for the sake of symetry).. the 300zx rear is totally differnt and you would end up just keeping the lenses...

These days I prefer a more factory look so JDM rears were the way to go!
