Rear Wheel-bearings

Symptom: rumbling noise which seems to be coming from the n/s rear wheel.

I removed the wheel and the brake drum and spun the shaft - it spins far too easily and sounds dry.

Can I just replace the bearings or do I have to get the hub as well?

Any tips on easiest method of replacement much appreciated?

Easiest method of replacement is to get someone else to do it.

( I know that sounds a little patronising, but wheel bearings are pressed in using hydraulic rams. This makes it very difficult to remove and replace yourself with a hammer and a drift. Not impossible, but if you don't have the correct tools it's virtually impossible. )
