1.6 Vvt-i E12 With K&n Panel Filter

Just bought the k&n panel filter for my 1.6 vvt-i (2002) and all I can say is it seems quicker and powerful in low rpm.

Yesterday i tested the panel filter in e12 corolla 1.4 vvt-i (2005) and in low rpm is more quicker too .. but the sound was different from the 1.6, it seems he had a induction kit it is strange because the 1.4 and 1.6 have the same compoenents (i think)

so in other words would you recommend it?

is it worth it installing a proper cone filter or does the panel filter work just fine?

yes, i recommend it

i put the panel filter instead of induction kit because of the garanty

and just to check if understood correctly did u say that with the panel filter on a 1.4vvt-i the sound changed similar to an induction kit?

regards performance and throttle response do u feel a difference?

the induction have a nice sound, but not equal to a panel filter. But the 1.4 vvt-i changed the sound a little more .. than 1.6

That 1.4 vvt-i is Made in Japan (chassi nº JTD...) , and my 1.6 vvt-i made in UK..i don't if this explains anything
