No worries mate..

just had a quick look as the convertions has been talked about alot on here

Starlet Nath posted this:

To do the conversion of changing from drums to disc on the Starlet and Paseo you will need:

A full rear beam from Starlet GT Turbo or Glanza V. Which must include:

Discs

Pads

Calipers

Handbrake cables

all 4 flexible pipes

Tension bar/beam

Hope that helps

Or JB Motorsport do the convertion for 300 quid - 340 fitted...

id go with jb, seeing as you have the ST, i.e. no abs, and hence they'll do it for you

oh, and james, its £30 for fitting. pshhhh man

mehh - havent looked at JB for a while mate so was doing that from memory... every time i go to the website i'm tempted to get that 4E.

hahaha, me too man, me too...but i dont have the cash (£1000 is like a third of what i paid for the car!), so annoying...

Posted

hah - its 400 quid MORE than i paid for mine lol :P

J

hahaha, man, imagine that...paying almost twice the price of your car for a 18hp increase  meh, where's money when you need it :(

tell me about it matey - anyway shall we stop Hijacking this thread????

(sorry Sam)

if you say so :(

btw, just a note if you get the starlet rear axle, i believe that it is slightly shorter than the paseo axle, and it also allows for negative camber adjustment whereas the paseo axle doesn't...

otherwise jb motorsport will be a lot less hassle

I ordered all the parts from Toyota as I got fed up trying to find a second hand one ;) Plus there's no guarantee you won't have to replace a seized caliper or knackered disc anyway

If you're not in too much of a hurry I'll be posting all the OE numbers needed for the full conversion as soon as my calipers arrive, they should have arrived saturday gone but when I rang to check one of the parts lads had ordered just the carriers instead of full calipers <_< So gotta wait till Sept 7th now :(

BTW you don't need the full beam as the parts just bolt on to the Seo one
